I'm arriving on the ferry from Melbourne which docks at 6.30pm- do I need late check-in instructions?

  • Reception is open from 7.00am until 7.00pm. Check-in hours are automatically extended for day-sailing ferries.

We're leaving on the ferry early the next day- will we have time for breakfast before we leave? what should we do with the key?

  • If you are leaving early in the morning, feel free to leave your key on the table inside your room, we will collect it later.

How far is it from the ferry terminal to Sunrise?

  • The trip from the ferry terminal to Sunrise Devonport is approximately 11 minutes (5.7km) by car.

General Questions

What are the reception opening hours?

  • Reception is open from 7.00am until 7.00pm. Check-in hours are automatically extended for day-sailing ferries.

What time is check-in? Can I check in early?

  • Check-in is from 2pm. Early check in cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability.

Do I need my credit card to check in?

  • Yes, Sunrise Devonport requires to have a valid credit card on file for all bookings.

What is the minimum age to check in to the hotel?

  • All room reservations require the registered guest to be no less than 18 years of age with a valid credit card in his / her name.

What time is check-out? Is there a charge for late check out?

  • Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10.00am on the day of departure. If you would like to check out later than that, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you. However, sometimes it simply isn’t possible as the rooms need to be cleaned for incoming guests.

Can I bring my pet?

  • As much as we love animals, unfortunately they are not permitted in the motel rooms.

What should I do, if I lost or forgot something in my room?

  • We try our best to make sure things get back to their rightful owner; we will call you to arrange getting it back to you, and if we are unable to reach you then we will hold onto items for a reasonable period before moving it to a new home. If we haven’t called you and you realise you’ve left something please call us on 03 6424 8411

Can I leave my luggage?

  • We can store your luggage in a safe location until your room becomes available.

How far is Devonport Airport?

  • Devonport Airport is approximately 12 minutes (10.3km) from Sunrise Devonport by car.

Can I rent a car at the motel or nearby?

  • Yes, Tassie Car Rentals will deliver a car right to the motel, call them on 03 6427 7940 to arrange.

Bookings

Where can I get a copy of my invoice after departure?

  • If for some reason you did not receive an invoice after your departure please email us at reservations@sunrisedevonport.com.au or call on 03 6424 8411 and we will gladly send you one.

Do I need to make payment at the time of booking?

  • Full payment is required upon booking

How do I make changes to, or cancel, my booking?

  • For all changes or cancellations please contact us via email at reservations@sunrisedevonport.com.au or call on 03 6424 8411 and we will gladly help you make the necessary changes.

How do I make special requests regarding my stay?

  • For any special requests such as flower arrangements, upgrades, surprises etc please contact us via email at reservations@sunrisedevonport.com.au or call on 03 6424 8411 to make arrangements.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Date and alteration changes are subject to availability. Cancellations to bookings must be made at least 24 hours prior to check in date, (i.e. 2pm the day before), or you will be charged the full amount for the room.

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Credit Cards

Rooms

Do your rooms have any cooking facilities?

  • We have 2 x Two-Bedroom Units with Kitchenette facilities.

Do you have smoking rooms?

  • No, we are a non-smoking hotel. Guests who would like to smoke are asked to do so outside.

Do you have wheelchair access rooms?

  • Yes, we have two rooms designed for wheelchair access. They have wider door frames and modified bathrooms.

What is the cost for an additional person and rollaway bed?

  • We can arrange to have a roll-out bed added to most rooms (subject to availability) at a charge of $20 per night.

Is parking available at the motel?

  • Yes, but please be aware that parking cannot be reserved. Limit of one vehicle per booking.

Do you have internet access?

  • Yes we have High-Speed WiFi in all areas of the Motel. There are no data restrictions.
